Managed Overview

Initial Configuration

NitroFusion will install and perform the initial configuration of your server to get you up and running immediately. We will install the Apache webserver, DNS, FTP, MySQL, mailserver (SMTP, POP, IMAP), Spamassassin and anti-virus software, PHP w/Zend and eAccelerator, SSL server, Plesk Control Panel, etc. We'll also perform the initial setup of your DDS for optimal performance.

Security Hardening

NitroFusion will install a security package to protect your DDS from unauthorized access. The security package includes installing APF (firewall), BFD, mod_security, chkrootkit and rkhunter, disable any unused services/packages, configure custom spamassasin rules with OCR to identify image spam, EXIM dictionary attack protection, RBLs, harden sysctl.config, secure PHP, secure named with DNS poison protection, harden SSH, and more.

Dynamic Dedicated Server Updates

NitroFusion will ensure the latest updates and security patches for all services are installed on your DDS. This includes upgrading the kernel and OS, updating your control panel to the latest stable version, and upgrading server software when new vulnerabilities are detected. If you need a specific server software such as PHP upgraded we can also perform the upgrade for you on request.

Proactive Monitoring

NitroFusion will monitor your DDS around the clock 24 hours a day 365 days a year. If we find any service including http (Apache), mySQL, DNS, SMTP, IMAP, POP failed we'll login to your DDS and restart it as necessary and if required reboot your DDS to get it back up and running without you having to worry about your DDS being offline at 3am.
